I am currently working on a psychology study, looking at Prius owners and their decision-making. I am hoping to learn a bit more about what makes the Prius owner different from other drivers. If you have three minutes, please assist me in this endeavor by taking part in a quick survey: Katherine Wernet Thesis Survey Those who complete the survey are eligible to win a $25 gift card to amazon.com. I would also love to share results later, if you're interested!
I'll have to sit this one out, since my G3 is a company ride. I didn't have any rudder input to my company's decision to outfit me with "my" new G3. Good luck with the survey! I'll be interested in viewing the resulting data.
Took the survey. The question about CFL usage though... we are slowly replacing those with LED, which, in my opinion, is more green... maybe it would have been better to ask what percentage of lights are still incandescent.
She didn't ask the LED question - that's ALL we use, because it's the best value for money, and provides decent light. Fluorescents are rubbish, and far from environmentally friendly. (read about what you have to do if you break one, or want to toss one…..)
I have been using LEDs where it is difficult to get to and where CFLs are the 'wrong' shape: PAR20s I am down to the oven, fridge, and two dimmers for incandescents, inside. My outdoor motion lights will not stay lit with all CFLs, so I use one halogen and one CFL in each fixture.
We bought an outdoor fixture that is motion sensitive, and put LED flood lights from Costco in it. That's been almost a year ago, if not longer, and they are still working perfectly. Our previous outdoor light was dusk-dawn, with incandescent. Eww.
