so my last girlfriend drove a 2007 Prius, which I would drive quite a bit around town or on out-of-town trips we would take. It kind of grew on me and so when I decided I wanted a new car I looked at the 2010 Prius. I'm saving about $150/month on gas. I basically got sick of being jerked around by gas prices so I figured if I was buying a new car the mpg of the Prius really subsidizes the cost vs. other models. The spaciousness and "gadgets" of the car really help out too. This is my first new car, I usually buy used cars but I didn't see much of a difference between new and used with the 2010-seems they're holding value pretty well. Got a 2010 Black III with NAV for about $2,300 off MSRP-best price I could find around my area and that's without the cash back (I financed it 0.9%). I was happy.
Congrats on your new car. Sounds like you're pleased with the car's technology, MPG's and more. When the Prius first came out (years ago), some owners were selling them for more than they paid. I think that party's over, but you never know as the price of gas continues to rise.
