I just bought a 2011 Prius II (Metallic Grey; 4 miles on odometer) with floor/cargo mats and 2-years of free maintenance included. My cost was $21,577 + TTL, and I was given a $500 rebate on top of this. The newspaper ad for this deal advertised it as $21,077 and "2 at this price." I also got them to remove something called "Optional DMV Electronic Filing Fee" of $29, which the guy said that nobody has ever inquired about (but he took the fee off easily).

I didn't do any trade-in or financing, and I didn't buy any extended warranty or the like. He allowed me to pay $3000 by credit card (got some airline miles) and the remainder by check.

I think I got a killer deal , but I'm curious if anyone got a better deal for the same vehicle.

A friend got a killer deal on a 2010 in December 2010. He got a winter grey Prius package II for $20,900 with zero percent interest for five years. He did not trade-in his old car either. And his new one was new, not a demo or a used car. He bought no options, not even the floor mats.

Your deal on a 2011 sounds great. In the short run, yours will be worth more than a 2010. But my friend got 200k out of his old econo-box and plans to get 300k out of his Prius. So his deal will work out well for him too.

Sounds like a great deal, I purchased my 11 Prius III for 21,690 + TTL, with the same 2 year maintenance deal. I really dont know the difference between the II and the III.

What type of mileage are you getting? Im averaging 44, still on my first tank of gas. Im anxious to see it go up with every fill up.

Looks like your friend paid $177 less than me ($21077 minus $20900) two months ago. Given that I got a 2011 model instead of 2010, and I got floor/cargo mats included, I'm still thinking I've gotten the best deal I've heard of. I would like to hear other "great deal" stories.

Since I just bought it today, I'm still on the first tank. 112 miles so far and 49 mpg. Mostly all highway with some rain and some significant wind. I'm staying in ECO mode all of the time. I'm hoping the mileage gets better the more I drive it.

I picked up a 2010 Prius II in DEC for 20,544 with 0% financing. It included the floor and cargo mats plus a cargo net and owner portfolio.

The best part.....I have only filled the car up 3 times since then!

I think my friend did better than the OP because he paid less and got 0% interest.

However, I think jdimetal is the low-price winner because he paid even less and still got 0% interest.

I think we are winners because we are all driving Prii.

Great deal for u guys. In cambodia, we have to pay import tax of 120%.
My used 2010 Prius V with Nav (can't even use in my country) ODO 17k miles, I pay total of $35000 usd.
You guys so lucky to drive in the States.

Ooh, good point. I forgot that your friend got 0% interest. In that case, I guess the question is...Would you rather have $177 in your pocket and 0% interest rate or a 2011 model (vs. 2010) with floor/cargo mats thrown-in ($75 value). That's probably a personal preference decision, and I'd go with the 2011 (but that's just me). I'll call it very close, but a nudge to me. Since I'm the OP, do I get to be the judge of the best deal? Thanks for the writing. It was fun comparing.

Looks like you got it for $533 (+ tax) less than me, and you got 0% financing. Would I rather have this lower price or the 2011 model I got. Tough call...Personal preference...I'll consider this a draw, and when I'm feeling generous, I'd consider you to have gotten a teeny bit better deal. Thanks for the fun banter!

    What is an "owner portfolio?"

Shouldn't the OTD price be the number that is compared? I know that there is different TTL but that really is just another number that gives the dealers some or none wiggle room. Does Oregon actually sell cars at the same "sell" price as the other states?

Regarding Oregon's selling price of cars, I think Oregon is quite comparable. We get the same MSRP as any other state. There may be differences in taxes. Oregon does not have a sales tax and there are no property taxes on cars. We do have license and registration charges, but those are not usually included in what some might call the selling price, but they are part of the total price of course.

Destination charges might vary between states. I haven't looked at them recently. Toyota has them on their web site, but I never checked charges for other states. I looked in 2008. I think a new Prius destination charge in 2008 was $650 dollars.

So, are Prii cheaper in Oregon? I don't think so. I think the biggest difference nation wide is how much the individual dealer is willing to discount a Prius, not the State it's sold in. If I'm wrong, please enlighten me.

I just picked up my 2011 Prius II last Saturday with only the $299 floor mats as an
included option and paid $21,420. No dealer doc fees or anything but as the 0%
deal was not on 2011 models best rate I could get was 2.74% for 60 months. Not
the best deal as mentioned here but have a feeling the dealers are going to stop
discounting them so heavily with gas going back up and demand for a Prius going
    right along with it !

I was guessing Toyota of Carlsbad, but they aren't known for good deals.
    More than likely Mossy?

This certainly sounds like a good deal. About $500 less than we paid for the same model but we took the 1.9% instead of the rebate so we should be able to make up the difference.

There is a guy in my complex who got a Prius 2 for 19850 with -500 factory -1000 for military and - 500 for college grad rebate from Power Toyota. But he is an airforce captain. Most of those kind of rebates don't apply to us.
