New to me...does a Prius really lead to hair loss?

    Hello.....recently my wife and I decided to check out how a Prius drives and after test driving two at our local dealer we ended up buying a 2008 Prius and we love it! We do not now why it took so long for us to find a vehicle like this.

    But now I have a concern.....does the electromagnetic energy generated by this vehicle cause hair loss? :)

    By the way....this seems like a great forum and I have been visiting this site for a few months now to learn as much as I can about this vehicle. Thank you for all the input and hopefully future help if we need it. From Menomonee Falls, WI.... (near Milwaukee).

    I doubt VERY seriously the e-fields are strong enough to cause hair loss unless you keep you head right next to the electric motors all the time. (which can't be done, there isn't enough room under the hood!)

    Hair loss is most often hereditary and I'm afraid no amount of staying away from electrical fields could possibly have helped me at all. :D

    Why yes. Yes it does. And you may want to start lining your undies with tinfoil while we're on the subject. :D

    Thanks....I'm not really worried about my hair loss, but since I like this car better than any of the others that we have, I will put tin foil on the driver's seat or in her undies the next time my wife wants to use it. I am sure she will not like to loose any hair and she will think twice about taking it.

    Darn right about the oil company - and the state of WI (gas tax) - not making much money on the Prii.

    Today I stopped and put gas in it due to the rising gasoline prices here ($3.45 at our local station) and it only took $19.33 for a whole 5.7 gal of gas for going over 200 miles. One of the major reason we bought it.

    When I cleared the pump to put gas in the Prius...the other person had over $50.00 showing on the pump. That would have been me on the car I traded in. Gotta like that!
