The drivers seat in 2010 and 2011 Prius III is uncomfortable for me. Specifically, I need my butt to be level with my knees. I tried a wedge - wasn't quite enough.

    Have others had this problem?

Lack of lumbar support is a problem that we have solved with a small pillow in our II. No pillow is needed in the driver-side seat of the V.

Have you pumped the seat all the way up?

You might want to try this product: Extendmyseat
I have been experiencing discomfort especially during long drives. I am over 6 ft and I believe the problem is that my legs are not supported by the seat. This product will give you more leg room and hopefully result in more leg support.

That would work for me except I would also need to purchase the Extendmyarms product so that I could reach the steering wheel that doesn't have enough telescoping grrrrr.

My wife had a similar problem with her Honda Fit. We tried the foam wedge, etc. What worked for her was some color matching towels folded up nicely. She sits higher too and it works great. :)

I picked a couple of these up at Walgreens almost a year ago. I installed them under my Clazzio seat covers and have been very happy. If you do a search for lumbar you'll see me thread about this.

Common question, but answer is no.

3rd Gen seat rail width is a good inch or so wider than 2nd Gen, mount feet will not match 2nd gen floor pattern. Electrical wouldn't plug in anyway.

I'm pretty sure each and every model of car has a distinct seat because mfrs. really don't want someone to switch seats. Reason - liability. Let's say a 3rd gen seat fit into a 2nd gen, and you are later killed in an accident because seat came loose .... Toyota is then toast.

I would say if you need your butt to be level with knees, then you are likely a shorter individual and therefore, you have room to raise the seat up. When you raise the seat, the tilt should come out of the seat bottom, then your butt will be as high as your knees.

Typically for taller people will lower down, then seat bottom tilted back to support thighs. Try all the adjustments and use some accessories.

It's a pretty good chair in the 3rd gen. For me, it's actually a wee bit more comfortable than my Accord Coupe seat.

That said, power seats are usually the best for comfort.
