I've attached an image of a screenshot that my dealer sent me. Does anybody know what all of this stuff means? I think some are obvious but you never know. Thanks. BTW - It really is there if you click on it.
So when you click on it, it doesn't pop up as a bigger image? If it is still too small then there is a "+" button to click to resize. Let me know so I can try something else if it doesn't work.
I'd imagine a lot of it is internal dealer code - where in the lot it's supposed to be located, what lockbox the key can be found in, what truck it arrived on, whose the purchasing agent who ordered the car, what's the price, status, etc. Most of it's useless to a customer, but it's how dealers aren't chaos when you go there to purchase a car (at least, in theory)
Ok so I figured out most of it. 1223C = Prius Two 2011 = Umm...2011 08V1 = Winter Gray FB60 = Fabric, Misty Gray FE = Floor Mats & Cargo Mat CF = Applique D-ETA 0228 0307= Dealer Estimated Time to Arrival Feb. 22 to Mar. 7 Salesman name, sold & partial VIN Not sure about the two different dollar amounts. Not sure about the three dollar signs Not sure about all the other yes (Y) & no (N) I wish it was for where in the lot it is...that would mean it was here.
It looks like the sales description for this particular vehicle. The two different dollar amounts are typically MSRP and Invoice costs. The part that I can help you with is that the partial VIN number means that it is within your Toyota region but not at this dealership. If it is at the dealership or in their pipeline then the complete VIN will be displayed. That is not to say that this dealer cannot get this vehicle delivered to his lot by swapping for a vehicle that he has on his lot.
Interesting. We have the paperwork that has the complete VIN # and the amount due. When were at the dealership he said that he was able to extract the full VIN. The dealership even created a stock number for it. What about the salesman last name and the "sold" that appears at the end? When we first agreed to the deal but were told that the color we wanted was not on the lot but there was one that was coming to them and they could sell it. Was this a trick of some sort? Are we getting screwed? One of the things I was/am concerned about is the fact that the $500 rebate expires on Monday. They said this would not be an issue. Should I be worried about this whole thing or is this a normal situation?
It's there, just hover your mouse cursor over the faint line below the words and when the cursor changes from the arrow, click.
OK I pulled up the entire invoice. I know where the car is coming to... and possibly when. It's not going to be there before the 1st of March BUT they can get a VIN# and do docs prior to the 1st - they have the power like I do too. What else do you need to know?
Wow...Thanks so much Dianne. We did do docs. We have everything done except for the final signings because our credit union lists them as a preferred dealer and won't give us a cashier check. We filled out title docs and an "Retail Form For A Motor Vehicle" that has all the numbers. We signed it and so did the F & I guy. Should I just relax about the whole thing? Thanks again.
