Strut noise

    Recently I have noticed a rattling noise from the left front strut. Looking up parts online I can see the strut, as well as an upper strut mount, either of which might be the culprit.

    Is one more likely to cause the noise than the other? Or are they usually replaced together?

    There is a bearing in the upper strut mount that starts to rattle/clunk after a while.
