    Hey, first post and all.

Anyway, the battery is obviously still good in my 2008 Prius, but I also have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 5.9L with a battery from a 94 Ram in it that still keeps chuggin'! I want to replace it, but it's still running great, haha.

my daughter's 04 has almost another year and still no noticeable issues. i keep thinking she should replace it but we'll probably wait til it quits on her in the middle of nowhere.

So, your Ram has a 17 year old battery? Wow, that is something! I would say keep using it if it is working, but keep your fingers crossed. I have had two batteries in the past, many years ago, that cranked the motor perfectly then the next time, completely dead. The interior lights would not even work. Almost like it was all or nothing.

Anyway, I hope the battery keeps on keeping on.....

Do you think the battery caused the 10 MPG hit or the winter weather? Mine also shows around 11.7 with load and 12.0V at rest after 1.5 days of sitting outside in cool weather.

That's not good. Your battery is at about 20% state of charge. You might try putting it on a trickle charger (4 amps or less) over night, otherwise plan on replacing it soon.

Our 2011 Gen III is on the original battery... so over 10 year life to date. I'm seriously thinking of swapping it out soon. We'll see ;)
