$9000 dollars in repairs for wife being rear ended. We went and visited our baby yesterday. We hadn't seen her for a week. Probably another week to get her back. Miss our baby. Is a Super white car a boy or a girl? Ours is a girl.
Hi friends, A week ago I traded in my trusty 2004 Corolla for a 2007 SuperWhite Prius with just 12,000 km on the odometer ! There's the old blue car in the background. I can see from your pics here that the US Prius turn signal lamps look quite different from the Asian Prius. Nice meeting you all
Off-Road Fall Colors We rode part way up Boreas Pass (outside of Breckenridge, CO) the other day to take in some Fall colors. Boy, was this Prius dirty when we got back! (It wasn't really "off-road" because it's graded dirt but it does have some very narrow stretches and rutted areas.)
Looks like it's been a while sense anyone has chimed in here. This is my first post and the wife and I just bought ( well, 2 weeks ago) a 2009 base model in super white with 31,700 miles. The wife was leaning toward a dark blue one at a different dealership but this was the right deal for us. I've been lurking for a while doing my research before we pulled the trigger. I have got to say I thought I would never own a Prius or any hybrid but the Prius dependability and longevity I read about here has made a believer out of me. Rising gas prices had an influence also. Only time will tell but I am very impressed with the job Toyota's engineers did with this car and how seamlessly everything works. I'm kind of a tweaker when it comes to cars anyway and it is fun learning about all the mods and tweaks for the Prius here. I've already fixed the rattles from the 2 front pillar garnish corner pieces using the information I got from the manual I downloaded for free which I found on this sight. Thank you. Oh, when I asked the dealer about the rattles from those pieces they took the car in and looked at for about 15 minutes and then came out and told me they would have to remove the dash to remove those pieces and didn't recommend doing that. I've also had the rear wheel alignment adjusted using an ez shim from Specialty Products Company. Also information I gained here. I had the alignment checked at the dealership and their machine showed it within Toyota's tolerances so they couldn't do anything under the warranty. It was so close to the edge of Toyota's spec's I had a local independent shop I trust look at it. Their machine showed that it was outside of those tolerances but it's probably not something worth pursuing with the dealership. First fill up 45.8mpg. Not great but I'm happy with that for a start. That was also before the alignment so we will see if it makes any difference. Now I'm off to practice a little P&G. Gotta figure out how to come up with some extra cash for a ScanGuage too. And...................................................
Yup, been in this Superwhite club for about 3 years; and it's a proven fact that Superwhite gets better gas mileage, handles better, has slightly more acceleration and smells better - Honest!
Whitey.....I've been a member of this "exclusive club" also for two years. I love my Super White '09. You would have to pry my grimey fingers off the steering wheel to get her away from me.....Have a great day!!
Thanks for that bit of info, Whitey. Same thing happened when I bought my 03 Kawasaki Concours. A bunch of guys over at the Concours Owners Group with 03's let me know I'd acquired the fastest, best handling and best looking model out of all 20 years of production. I guess the good Lord is looking out for me.
Just recently purchased and mine is silver in color, but coated in salt from the Wisconsin winter and it looks white. Can I join for now until it is warm enough to wash it?
Wow, have we gotten popular, or what? "Honorary Super White" Prius -- for those that kinda wish they'd gotten the white Prius? LOL :thumb:
Just bought my 2010 Blizzard White Prius III today!! So far I have seen 48 - 90+mpg. Easily averaging 50. It had 13,000 miles at the time of purchase and has the bisque interior. I'll post pics when I can. eace:
I honestly DO wish I got super white. But I bought used so didn't have much of a choice. Mag gray is very cool too. But super white is easy to modify and matches anything, so that's the source of regret.
Mac....sounds like lots of people are "super white wannabes!!" You are now a bonafide member of this very elite club!!
