I think so too. Maybe a sign of the economic recovery, if there is one. I have not seen what a super bowl ad cost this year. I liked the Darth Vader ad, but honestly I can't remember the product. It's probably just old age.
Apparently the "Groupon" ads pissed a lot of people off because they seemingly trivialized some very serious things (genocide in Tibet, rain forest devastation and whale hunting). Groupon at least started a site where people can donate to the causes the commericals made fun of: Groupon - Save The Money
