I just purchased a Gen III Prius II (I am a Honda Insight convert). The question I have is... Is there a way to change the Climate Control Temperature and the Outside Temperature read outs to Celsius instead of Fahrenheit? I know pressing the MPH/km/h button changes the the speed, distance and fuel consumption, but not the temperature read outs. I prefer Celsius as that is what I was raised on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please no smart remarks or stupid answers. I want genuine help. I would assume that this can be done in a rather simple way. Cheers.
    :D

Not meaning to be smart or rude.....read your owners manual cover to cover.....twice.

this will make owning your Prius much more enjoyable.

I have done that a couple of times. Researched the car extensively before purchase. Watched the DVD that came with the car. Talked to plenty of Prius owners. Don't get me wrong. Unlike some posts that I have seen on here. The temperature thing wasn't and never will be a deal breaker or changer. I just prefer Celsius. It was the same way on my Honda Insight. There was no way to change the temperature to Celsius unless you purchased the car in Canada (which is very difficult to do if you live in the US) or change the instrument cluster. I dealt with it and after a while wasn't phased. If I can't change it to Celsius on my Prius, then I will deal with it and eventually not really care. I suspect that is what I will have to do. LOL :D

I would like to do the same thing. No, I couldn't find it in the owner's manual either.

I would guess that the dealer could come up with a solution to the problem. I am used to temp readings in C too. Darn airplanes use it.

Me too but after a while, I just forget about it and move on. Now, I don't usually worry about the outside temperature as soon as I set the "temp" to around 70F.

It cannot be done with cars sold in the US market.

Being as both temp guages are in the HVAC Disply, it may be a simple matter of swapping out that diaplay. Maybe one of our canadian members can visit a local Toyota Parts Dept and get a part number/price and post it here. I'm sure there's a website that sells Canadian Toyota Parts!
