The Palm Treo works very well in my Prius. The only trouble I have is with the phone when not in the car. I have to recharge it daily or it goes completely dead and then loses pairing with the car. If I keep the phone well charged then it keeps paired. As I said the phone works very well with the car I just do not like it outside of the car. It is one of those "smart Phones" and it has to much "junk" on it and the key board is to small and it eats the battery.

I have successfully paired a Samsung t369 and a Samsung t139 with my 2010 Prius III. With both, it was a little tricky -- the Prius gave up searching for the phone before the phone was ready. What worked for me was to select the car's name on the phone and get it to the point where it asked for the password, then restart the process on the car.

Wow, 29 pages of responses. They are probably already listed, but I'll give me 2 phones:
    BlackBerry Bold 9650
    HTC Droid Incredible

Had a few minor problems connecting the BB, but after a hard reset (battery pull) got it connected. Interestingly, the BT music streaming looks different between the 2 phones. The BB shows info about the song (album, title, artist) and the Dinc does not. The BB seems to have a hard time streaming music by BT while staying connected for calls, while the Dinc had no such issues.

I thought they connected to any bluetooth phone.
Wish it would transfer address books better (instead of one at a time, what a pain).

I have the 2010 Nav system.

    HTC Windows 7 phone
    Motorola V9x (razr)
Konica (my wife's phone, don't know model).

Konica? As in Konica Minolta, the camera company?

    I think you meant Kyocera...

Also, see the post on the finger dance and increasing your microphone's volume. That worked very well. Previously we thought it was the phone having problems, but it turned out to be the volume.

Also, it seems that the hands free system is only half duplex (only one side can talk at a time like a walkie talkie) so that is discouraging - especially when you call a loud restaurant and the noise on their end prevents you from talking, and they think you have hung up.

I have a 2010 Prius III. I have tried to download my phone book from a Samsung Intensity II(Verizon), but have been unsuccessful. It times out, or is almost like my phone has a security feature that will not allow it's phone book to be downloaded. Any directions would be appreciated.

HTC EVO and EVO shift work great on my 2010 Prius IV. The sound quality from Pandora to speakers via bluetooth is unfortunately not that great. I would say 7 out of 10 on the sound quality there. If you connect it with a wire this dramatically improves the quality.

My AT&T Captivate (Samsung Galaxy S) connects fine, I transfered all 200+ contacts at once. I haven't tried to update one contact yet, or stream music via bluetooth.

I'll expand on this a bit.

Samsung Intercept from Virgin Mobile (with Android 2.1; note there's an upgrade to 2.2 coming):

2010 Prius (Gen 3) with Navigation:

Phone works, was able to transfer contacts to the car with no problem (over 150 contacts). Voice and speed dials set up in the car's Bluetooth menus work with the phone (I haven't tried to access the phone's own speed dials from the car, and am not sure how to).

Bluetooth Audio also works, but only in basic mode (simple Play/Pause interface; the track selection described in the Navigation manual doesn't work with this phone). If I don't pause the phone's player (from the car) before switching inputs or shutting off the radio, the phone continues playing through its internal speaker. I'm hoping Android 2.2, when available, improves this.

The car's USB port can be used to charge the phone with an appropriate USB cable (but only while the car is on).
