    Hello:
I got the misty grey interior prius 2010 III with some black mats ( not sure those are the lowest category of mats offered), on my earlier cars/vans, I usually buy the rubber mats/transperent mats with grooves. I cut them to suit the interior and put them on the car floor as much as I can to cover the car floor. The reason for doing this is to reduce damage and maintenance. I can be little careless when I get into car with wet shoes.:)

Now prius is a bit new to me.
1.Have any of you used floor mats? If so what brand do you suggest
I am looking for something water resistant, transperent, ofcourse cheap alternative. if it looks good that will be added bonus for me

    2. I have seen discussion on the forums about mats, but I am bit confused as to what need to be added?

    3. Given the toyota's beef with stuck accelerator pedal fiasco, what can I do on the driver's side and still protect the interior ( besides wiping my shoes clean before entering the car :))

Please post me the links, even the generic cheap WalMart modified things work for me, if you have followed that route.

    Please let me know.

I bought Husky Liners and really like them. But they are not transparent nor as cheap as Walmart. But you get what you pay for. They look great and offer great coverage.

There are clear ones for sale in the PC store. They are not an all weather mat with a lip around the edge though. I believe those are made by Lloyd Mats, CAR MATS by LLOYD MATS.

I ordered a set of Husky Liners WeatherBeater mats on the Friday the 14th and am patiently waiting for them to arrive. I ordered the First and Second row mats and the Cargo liner. http://huskyliners.com/SHOP

Lastly there are what seem to be the severly design flawed WeatherTech mats.
WeatherTech Automotive Accessories - Car Mats, Floor Mats, Cargo Liners, Side Window Deflectors and More

I know that you said that you have checked all of the other treads with regards to floor mats. There is enough info on PC to make a somewhat informed decision. It just depends on the level of coverage you want or need and your style.

I haven't had a chance to go back to the dealer yet but I'd like to toss my black mats and get either the charcoal or light gray ones. Does anyone have either of those, and could possibly describe or take picture? I'm thinking the light gray might not match the bisque and hopefully the charcoal is a lighter enough difference from black to be worth the purchase.

    Thanks!

Just curious: do Stateside Prius come with carpetted mats. In Canada our (dark grey) interior came with matching carpet mats. I looked them over at the dealership, and decided to leave it as-is, ie: they looked durable, and of a color that wouldn't show the dirt much. So far that's worked out: with a few thousand kilometers, when I run the vacuum through they look close to pristine.

It's a far cry from our last vehicle with beige interior, and carpetted mats that really showed the dirt. We replaced those with rubber mats ASAP.

Do we really need another thread on mats? You do not have search to find people typing about mats. On the main page for Gen III 2010 Prius Accessories and Modifications there are already two that have posts in the last 12 hours.

    Why start a third?

I looked at a 2010 Winter Grey Metalic with a Dark Grey interior it had Charcoal carpet mats. I bought a 2011 Blizzard Pearl with a Bisque interior it came with Black carpet mats. Here in this State and I believe the rest of the U.S. Toyota will only supply carpet mats. I ordered black Husky Liners I like the contrast between the Bisque and the Black. There is enough Black in the dash to pull it off and look nice I think. The only Light Grey is on the A, B, C-Pillars headliner and the cargo area of course.

I got a set of all-weather mats from Costco, $17.99 and they fit really well. They come in black, dark grey and tan.

Got instore from costco for $17. Seems thick. Also got a mat runner $10 from Walmart for the rear seat area. Covers the width. For the trunk bought a trunk mat ( can be cut as needed ) for $12. Yet to do the car seat covers. Once done, I think my prius will be set for abuse by my toddler

I got the "high end" walmart offerings ;). Michelin brand all weather rubber mats with deep ribbing. Work and fit very well for me with no pedal issues; don't slip, etc.

NOTE: I don't have to deal with the white stuff that falls from the sky. I think it's called snow or something like that so YMMV. :D

LOL, famous last words..... Never under estimate the destructive power of a toddler.

Your seats will look like poo (maybe even literally!!!! ) :sick:if you don't protect them too. Hey, that rhymes.

I found some tan scrap carpet (for in your house) and cut my own driver's mat. I have plenty for doing the passenger floor and back seat floors, just not the gumption at the moment (been single digit temps the past week).

I cut a flap to cover the "dead pedal" and ran it up about 8 inches beyond the gas pedal. My pedal has some kind of "fin" under it, so I don't think I have to worry about the pedal getting stuck.. I've tested and made sure I get plenty of travel on the pedal so I can get good acceleration when needed. It's a medium pile carpet so it should catch plenty of gunk.. and wide enough to catch most gunks as long as I'm mildly attentive to entering the car (I kick off most snow/junk before I get in anyway).

I'll try to take a photo and post it. For free, I'm not complaining :) Scrap carpet is the way to go, if you ask me.

I did something similar last night. I bought a couple of 2'x2' carpet squares, then used my existing mats as a template. They fit perfectly, don't slip, and look like they're supposed to be there. Cost a total of $8.

Me too. The rear mats are exceptionally well fitted, they cover every square inch of carpet, and actually go UNDER the front seats where people's feet tend to end up. They match great, have nice deep sides to catch mud/slush and spills, and clean easily. I got all the mats including the cargo liner. Total cost was right at $150 shipped from autoanything.com.

No we have to pay extra for them. Last year when I bought my car it was $269 for the four floor mats and the cargo space mat.

My driver side mat is wearing out and the others are like new, wish you could buy just one.

Has anyone purchased TAN mats which match their interior? I just need something to keep some light mud out of the cargo area and a pair of front floor mats.

Misty gray mats aren't black. They're the same color as the charcoal door panel inserts and center console. Bisque comes with black mats.
