I have a 2010 Prius V with adv tech pkg.
I just purchased a T-Mobile my touch 4g phone. I set up the bluetooth okay, but am unable to transfer the contacts. I keep getting 'unable to transfer'. Any ideas?

I don't know about the 4G, but according to Toyota Bluetooth Phone the my touch 3G is unable to transfer contacts at all. Other phones such as the iPhone could transfer multiple contacts at once on the Prius.

On older cars such as my Lexus, what I did was buy a cheap prepaid phone that's able to transfer contacts, load the address book on it from the computer and use it to transfer contacts. Then I could use my current phone to use those contacts.

hi i had the same or similar problem last night annoying eh!

i have on oldish about 2 years SVP E650 which wont transfer but my new samsung ominia does, albiet after a window pop on the phone asking permission to transfer.

ive tried 2 other phones, 1 sony 1 samsung both about 3 years old and they wouldn't transfer.

possibly there is a menu which needs to be set to release contacts to the car or it could be they just arnt compatible, age, firmware but yours is new so that doesn't make sense.

i got around it by simply adding manually the 10 frequent contacts on my work one

Samsung Ominia should be able to transfer contacts. Once connected, click on phonebook on NAV screen and you should get a prompt that reads something like "Phonebook is empty. Would you like to transfer contacts?"

Unless of course the (DVD-based?) NAV in T-Spirit works differently.
