I did not know or realize that I figured it may have been different because of the 17 inch wheels. Thanks newtoprius2010 The nav system in Toyota and lexus (so not limited to Prius) will freeze up if co-passenger tries to input address while driving. This is a pretty big difference from the honda/acura and currently there is no way to override the toyota nav. It is like if they are trying to freeze that, there is a lot of things driver can do while driving to cause accidents. Other than that, I am fine with the toyota NAV as I like the bluetooth, back up camera and other features that came with it. Also I dont think we need to update it as much. My acura nav was never updated for 5 years and only recently I got that updated. I like the nav as I can't be bothered with hooking another portable GPS around all the time.. I though the Nav. disabling certain functionality while moving was a safety feature. You can do most of the disabled functions via voice command. Do not all OEM Nav. units from all manufacturers have a similar lockout feature? cproaudio I hate to go searching for it but I read somewhere that the 11 have heated seats and lumbar support for cloth seats or is that for PHEVs? I do have heated front seats and a power lumbar support on the drivers side, have not looked at passenger seat to see if it has it also.
I'd be curious to see if the reports of rattles and squeaks in the MY11 decline in comparison to MY10. Too early to tell, but maybe by next winter. It would be nice if they found a way to 'tighten things up.' Nice for the owners of the MY11s, anyway.
Pretty much. There was an Easter egg in mid-2007 and earlier Lexus models that allows you to do the NAV hack and disable the lockout in motion. Of course, Toyota got rid of this Easter egg once too many people discovered it. I have it in my Lexus and have never upgraded the disk for this reason. Leather seats in trims IV and V have them as standard. cpraudio was asking about the rumor a while ago that the cloth interior in the lower trims might get heated front seats and driver side power lumbar support but it turned out to be a typo on Toyota's part.
My 2011 vehicle is stated as Prius Three Model on the sticker. I do not have NAV and it has an AUX input not USB in the console. The codes on the sticker include: FE = 50 State Emissions , H8 = Fleet Credit , PC Special Color $220.00 and CF= Carpet Floor Mats & Cargo Mat $200.00, Delivery and Handling Fee $760.00 Grand Total Sticker $25,230.00
The Three does not have lumbar or heated seats. That will cost you an additional $2500 to move up to a Four without NAV. Yes I saw the Prius Team Sticky, it was from July of 2010, hardly current, but appropriate since they are still promoting the MY 10 on Toyota.com.
