I removed a "Sirius complete kit" from a 2006 Scion Tc. It was completely compatible with the 2010 Prius II radio. It just plugged right in and, "bababooey bababooey!" HOWARD 100!!! Hooray!!! Instead of putting the receiver under the driver seat, I removed the glove box and stashed it behind there instead. Signal strength from the SIRIUS SIGMA antenna (rare find) works perfect. The SIGMA antenna mounts right on the windshield, just to the right of the rear view mirror (can be seen in pix). Reception was not an issue. Prior to installing the SIGMA antenna, I used the regular magnetic kind and as you can see in one of the pix, it was sitting behind the SHARKFIN antenna. BLAH, it looked horrible. I avoided using the XM antenna (that already comes with the Prius) and the Lexus Sirius adapter plug. I've heard using XM antenna on a SIRIUS unit reduces the signal strength. Anyhow, I am completely satisfied with the upgrade. ENJOY! ALL 600D
Any suggestion on a possible route to acquiring the SIGMA antenna? I wonder why they stopped manufacturing it. I can't think of any place to mount my exterior antenna that won't bother me in some way.
I have one of these antennas (with the OEM sirius box) that I pulled from my Prius. PM me with offers.
