are there 2 different color reds for gen 2 prius? i see some that are bright red and then i see a darker almost Burgundy color? can anyone explain and let me know what the 2 colors are? Thank you
I believe they were from two different model years. The same is true for many of the other colors. The 2004-2005 blue is a light blue. In 2006 it went to a darker, more bold shade. Even white had some variations. Tom
Yes there are two different OEM reds. One is Barcelona Red and the other is called Salsa Red. You can see examples if you google "Barcelona red prius" and "Salsa red Prius" and click on the "images" results.
thank you very much.... it's just odd.. cause i see a few around work , and some are a bright red and others are such a dark red....
I love the Barcellona Red also (since it's my color). Salsa red was from 2004- I think 2006 or 2007 ? Then Barcallona red replaced it. opps, I defer to macmaster05, I thought salsa red lasted for more than 2 years
