I am wanting to replace my Toyota Nav/Head Unit with an aftermarket but before I can purchase the aftermarket one I have to assure my husband that I can sell the stock one :)

The car is only 1 month old and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the unit. It has a 4 disc CD changer. No scratches or blemishes. No dead pixels, etc. It's a perfect unit.

Please make me an offer. If we agree on a price, I'll need a 50% deposit and there will be about a 2-3 week turnaround so I can get the unit out and the aftermarket put in.

Please let me know if you're interested!

    Rebekah

PS - I forgot to mention that the back-up camera will not be included in the sale.

What are you looking to get for it? I'm interested slightly, but only at a bargain-basement price, and I'd rather not insult you if what I'm thinking is worlds away from what you need...

Please let me know your asking price for the head unit. I'm also interested.

    Thanks!

Would like to get at least $650. I see them (or equivalent models) on ebay anywhere from $599-$1100

Remember, it is only a month old and in like-new condition!

You might see them listed on eBay for that price, but not sold at that price. IMHO, I think you are asking way too much.

Thanks Mark. Those prices are actually from the completed listings/sold items. You're right - there are many that are listed at $699 or $799 and were never sold but there were a fair number that did actually sell in that range. However, I appreciate your input and I'll take your opinion in to consideration. What do you think it's worth? I have no other point of reference except that the one I want to purchase is going to run me about $800...

As a respectful point of reference (admittedly driven toward arriving at a very low price): Do you think that the one you want to purchase is *only* $150 "better" than the one you have? Probably not - or you wouldn't bother to upgrade. You probably believe that the new one is going to be "much" better than the old one, (or why bother with the effort entailed in replacement?).

That said, if the new one is "much" better - let's work toward a number for "much" better - my suggestion is that the new one is $500 "better" than the OEM. Therefore, you should price the OEM at $300 - which is what I offered in 2 PMs to which you did not extend the courtesy of a response.

Put another way: Why would anyone bother to spend $650 for a unit that you've already concluded is sub-par in one way or another when they could also purchase the same superior (based on your decision, anyway) unit you want for a measly extra $150? More personally: If I were going to spend $650, I might as well go for the $800 and get all the benefits that go along with the aftermarket unit.

Point taken. I apologize for not responding for the PM's - I didn't know I had any messages! Let me think about the $300 offer and I'll get back to you.

    Yes, it is still available.

And just to clarify from the summation of a previous poster...there is nothing inferior about this unit - it's just a matter of personal preference of the look and feel of the unit.
