Now that the seasonal Toyotathon is over, is there any word of possible Jaunary and spring promotions for the 2010 and 2011 Prius?

I heard 1/3 was last day of year end promos, so they may announce something new tomorrow.

With a big inventory of the 2010 model, I expect them to offer 0% APR for 60 months and hopefully a decent discount. I was about to buy a Prius last week but I can't justify paying invoice price knowing it's already almost 2011.

OMG ... I am reeling. I just checked out the 2010 Residuals for the leftover 2010 models.

Allow me to reply to your question first:
First our SO CAL promotions for the 2010:
$1000 customer cash (replaced the 750 dealer cash I was passing along to my buyers, but this is a rebate so you pay the tax and title on it)
    OR
0.9 for up to 60 months
    OR
a low lease rate of .00010

BUT -- anyone who grabbed a last minute deal on Prius thru me, you did great. Even though these terms look lower, allow me to elaborate:

On a cash deal, you did about the same.
On a financing deal, you did about the same, except if you did 36 months, you did better at last year's 0% for 36 months.
If you leased, man did you do better. Residuals dropped like a rock after Jan 3rd promotions were over.

    Example:
2010 II residual was 14592, is now 13,908.
2010 IV with NAV, residual was $17649. It's now $16,053. THAT IS NOT A TYPO! The Sunroof IVs were $17,999 residual, are now 16,403.

I don't care how low you drop the rates. When residuals drop like that, with rates that were already low, you obviously did way better before Jan 3.

The one caveat here is that anyone leasing a 2010 right now is certain to be ahead a bit with value equity at the end.

By the way, there are no promotions for the 2011. Yet. With gas climbing higher daily, we may not see any. While I hope we do, I don't think we will for a while.

    Dianne

    January 2011 Prius promotional leases

Starting with tomorrow, Jan 6th - Prius lease rates promotional!

2.9 apr for up to 60 months or rates as low as .00140 for a 36 month lease, tier 1+ and slightly higher rates for the lower fico score tiers. NO rebate or dealer cash announced, don't expect it.
