Hello everyone: Is there any way to make my Prius beep on lock? I know some friends who own Prius and theirs do it, so it is doable. Is there any sequence of buttons you press on the remote that turns it on and off? I bought it used so I suspect that the previous owner turned it off or something. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
I didn't know that it could be shut off. However, maybe it can. If you disconnect the 12v battery for a few minutes, it should reset any 'hacks' the previous owner made. Keep in mind that you will have to reenter the presets on your radio and reset the auto-up on your driver's side window (instructions are in the Owner's Manual).
You should be able to turn it back on by disconnecting the 12V battery unless the former owner cut a wire somewhere.
My Prius V has stooped beeping on lock recently and now it locks twice when i touch the handle, it beeps on unlock and opens doors like normal, i tried unplugging the battery but that has not helped. Any other thoughts?
