I gave my repair technician "Brand’s Automotive" a picture of DaveinOlympia mount and they put it there and I am in fat city. I also had the block heater installed. First time out I had the best millage out of my house. I just got a timer this afternoon.

Hay Dude milage is milage. Besides I have to develope my own temperature and milage curves. I am collecting data. Maybe I can get a NIH grant to do this research.

Ya that and the hills! It is a lot flatter around here unless you go into downtown. I think I will finish this tank under winter gas over 50. I have looked and I don't think you will see the device from the outside of the car unless you know what to look for. I have wedged the iPod in the slot of the lower glove box with the valet pad. Perfect fit! Now the only question is, will it stay in place if I get the stifling plate and put her in a 4 wheel drift through the corners?

    OK, I'm a nOOb.

I'm kind of going about this backwards. I'm buying the AIC-100i first, and then will choose my iPod. In the meantime, I will continue to use my current mp3 player.

My question: where are people putting the iPod when it's docked to the AIC-100i?

I have my full sized iPod wedged in the slot in the back of the lower glove box with the valet parking pad wedging it in place. Perfect fit. If you get a nano you are on your own.

The Nano iPod replaces the mini check it out http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/ My daughter now works part time at the Apple Store in Columbus. They give the retail employes a iPod! She has the use of a nano at work in addition. Very nice form factor and does the same number of songs as the first iPods.

I put mine there also, and it works perfectly. Doesn't interfere with the glove box operation or anything. It was a bit snug but I was able to cam it around and over the pin that holds the glove box piston damper before adding all the wires, thus avoiding having to snap off the vent panel.
