Rubbing and moaning...What's going on in your car

 

It is a good complaint, but it is absolutely necessary to block the grill otherwise you have almost no heat. And 32 is pretty far off the 50-60mpg rating which might be inflated but still. Many newer owners are completely unaware of the odd things you have to do. I know I was.

 

i was down to 37mpg in the fall weather(40's and 50's), then grill blocked and back up to 47.
now in winter weather (20's and 30's) getting 42 to 44 depending on how many long trips i take.
car is also alot warmer, heat works better, with grill blocked.
absolute MUST in winter climates.
you are ok to grill block at 40F and below
50F is still ok if you only take short trips, 20-30 minutes 15 miles.
longer trips or warmer temps, unblock 1 slot in lower grill(GEN2)
you can leave top grill blocked all year long, unbock all lower grill in temps above 60

 

LOL, I didn't even know it was there. How many Watts is that silly little thing?

It would be nice for those people living in cold places if it had one that actually did some a considerable amount of good.
