I'm considering either the putting the 16" Touring Wheels or the 2010 17" Wheels on my Prius. Are there any pics out there with the 17" factory wheels on a Gen-2 Prius? I want to see how they look like but can't seem to find any pics through the search future.... Thanks!
What color's your car? Sorry I don't know of anyone who's done 17" Prius wheels on a Gen II... Personally I would look to the aftermarket variety. Even a set of OEM 17" might run you $800+.
Thanks for the link. However, does look like the Standard 15", not the 17". It would have been a great price for $500 though!!!! :-D
Azipod, if you can find me someone who's selling a set of Wedssport TC005s (theyre discontinued) I'll GLADLY sell you my touring wheels.
Thanks for the offer! I'm not sure how I'm going to find those wheels if you can't find them. Maybe you should buy some other wheels? Let me know if you do. Thanks! :mod:
Since smaller lighter 15" wheels should get better MPG than 17", perhaps someone would want to trade you for that benefit?
Has anyone on here done this mod and put the stock 17" V wheels from the 3rd gen? My dad has a red V and im jealous of his wheels. I also hear they improve handling/ road feel. We own all three generations of the Prius (2001, 2004, 2011). The '04 seems to drive/ handle the worst out of all of them, especially in snow. Even when dry this car feels very twitchy/ uncomposed at highway speeds.
handling should improve due to less sidewall deformation while cornering; ok if you are seeking a bonus... ....but if handling was one of your concerns you should look at roll control (sway bars) shock absorber choices and ultimately suspension rigidity.
