I am looking to getting a 2010 Prius II or III and wanted leather. I wanted to see what brand the port installed leather is. It is the same as the factory installed leather minus the door panels and armrest. I remember looking at some Pri in GST dealers and having a tag with the brand, but don't recall it anymore. I am now not in the GST region to check it out anymore. Could anybody please let me know. I know it wasn't Barlett like the gen II.

While I do not know the brand name, I can state that it's not the same as the factory ones. The leather itself feels less supple in port installed versions, and just does not feel the same. While I am not sure of the brand I am sure of the fact that it's not the same as factory leather.

Whatever brand it uses, there is a tag "Liquicell" on it.

Liquicell is an option that can be added on. I was able to find out the brand/supplier and it is Southern Manufacturing. But, the only thing I could find is Trim Masters. I will have to give them a call tomorrow and see if I can find out more.

When I purchased my 2007 Gen II Prius at the end of 06, the dealer assured me it was exactly like the factory installed leather. After the dealer drove my new car to the "port" for the install, they returned with what looked like skin on a person who just lost 100 pounds. It was literally "wrinkled" all over. After a few visits with the Toyota rep, they did replace it (while also putting the first 300 miles on my car), however, 3 years later and out of warranty, it started cracking down the side of the driver's seat near the stitching. I've been very disappointed in the quality and as I'm contemplating a Gen III, I'm certain it's worth opting for the factory leather! Buyer beware!
