My Nissan Leaf Forum • View topic - OMG Carwings !!!! Nissan is using a program called "Carwings" that allows monitoring of the car's performance and remote control functions via the web/smartphone. there is a free 3 year subscription provided to all new Nissan Leaf owners and i thought i would use it for the 3 free years then let it go. well, that was until today... the first Leaf owner in the US posted some info on what Carwings does and the level and detail of the data is astounding!! well, actually astounding is not even applicable. not only does it tell you how well you are driving, but will also rank you regionally and globally against ALL OTHER NISSAN LEAF drivers!! wow!! this makes the best version of CANVIEW?scangauge/Xgauge seem ahh... well pretty lame
CarWings sounds like Nissan's version of Toyota's G-Book. Very very cool!!! We have to wait til Fall 2011...
The system also allows u to subscribe up to 10 RSS feeds WITH text to speech. So u could tool down the road while your Leaf reads PriusChat to u!!!
Well, it's Nissan, it might end up just telling you to make sure you get it serviced for their exhorbitant prices. lol
whats to service?? no need for battery check. Carwings does that automatically. Nissan says that average maintenance costs should be 75% lower than an average vehicle. but then again, they have no cars to report on. so we shall see, we shall see. obtw, did you hear that the price of gas went up again?
Toyota provides instant feedback on how efficiently you are driving. Nissan goes one step further by comparing your efficiency with everyone in your area or everyone in the world!
Lexus want's $70 to replace our paper cabin filter (in 3 minutes or less). You mean they're worse than Lexus pricing? Yea - any EV software that looks like I'm playing a video game works for me. .
more Carwings info... its getting better and better My Nissan Leaf Forum • View topic - Carwings is awesome! so far Nissan drivers have prevented 6 tons of carbon from being deposited into the air we breathe.
I like the U.S. flags showing (presumably) the county where the record was set . . . kinda makes it like the olympics .
