After going through a car wash my Prius has started locking all doors when I start the car and unlocking driver's and passenger front doors when I turn it off. Kind of wondering how this could happen, but since I like it that way I don't really want to change it back. Is there a way to toggle this and can I change it so that rear doors and hatchback unlock also when I turn the car off? Scott
You must have a aftermarket kit on it. The prius doesn't have this option from the factory. Check the person you bought it from if possible.
As was said its not a standard option on the prius. Look for a switch near the drivers kick plate or under the dash. One of my other cars has the add on and theres a switch to disable it. It probably got kicked when the car wash dude vacuumed the car.
Bingo! Right under the hood release there is a Karr security systems device with a wire going up under the dash. I push the button on it and it seems to do nothing. If I hold the button on while starting the car a light on the device comes on, but I don't know what it does. I guess I will contact Karr and find out how to operate the security device. Scott
