I found this as an advertisement for the EV switch. Having spent a lot of time in Japan this option makes perfect sense. I thought they all comes with EV switch.... :lol: Guess we need the (low rolling resistance) radial tire option.
After nearly 23 months of owning a hybrid, I've had my first "close call" with a pedestrian. A couple of co workers and myself were heading back to work with our freshly purchased lunches. The stretch of road was one that I easily and consistently run in EV mode both directions. From out of the dark, a jaywalker popped out between two cars, and nearly walked into the side of the Escape. I guess he was depending a bit too much on sound before running across the road. :blink:
Nothing like the old "silent bob" routine, maybe a bicycle bell would be a good idea hehe. Hmm, bell+selenoid installed under the hood.....
