I lost one of my hubcaps on my 2010 Prius today, just wondering how much a new one should cost. I'm hoping not more than about $50?
New OEM ones with the Toyota logo retail for about $50 each. You can get knock-offs without the Toyota logo for $49 for 4 (with free shipping) or about $14 for 1 (plus shipping), from eBay: 2010 prius wheel covers items - Get great deals on eBay Motors items on eBay.com! You can also search for used ones on eBay or here.
Is stealing prius hubcaps common? I 've had my prius for only 5 months and 1 was stolen. Went to the dealership today and was quoted $107 CDN for a replacement.
Had my 2010 less than 2 weeks and lost a wheel cover. $74 at dealer in Champaign, IL. There has to be a better system of attachment.
Theft of Prius hubcaps is not that common. However, it seems that Prius automobiles have a chronic problem of losing hubcaps. My advise is to go naked. The alloy wheels look beautiful without them. Keith P.S. Welcome to PriusChat
Ya, I bought a replacement at my Toyota Dealer for 81 and change with CA tax. Thought it was a bit pricy, but its been over a year and I only lost that one.
In fact, a large number of Prius owners don't want them either. So there should be plenty of barely used ones for sale, cheap.
You can find a lot of them on eBay. You can often find a set of 4 unused or low mileage for less than a dealer charges for one.
