I started this thread a year ago in the Gen II Main Forum, but since the Gen III is up and coming, I thought it'd be more relevant to start a new Gen III thread. Please post every purchase you've made for your car that you can remember. You can include maintenance, modifications, and repairs (everything except the car and gas). I know I don't own a Gen III, but I just wanna be where the party's at!

    Here's mine at 27k miles:

    $230 - Window tints
    $370 - Lowering Springs + install
$70 - LEDs and light bulbs
    $80 - shark fin antenna
    $180 - new tire
$150 - Lifetime alignment from Firestone
$40 - one tire rotation from Toyota (before I discover I got free ones from Firestone - DOH!)
FREE - all oil changes so far (I use coupons!)

    So that's $1120.

This is supposed to be a fun thread, a good exercise. If you feel uncomfortable sharing for some reason, then please don't feel obligated. Thanks for sharing!

I try to not think about that, but at 3800 miles I can remember most of it.
    Code:
    $   0 Maintenance
$ 250 PChat Store cargo mat, rear bumper protector and mud flaps
    $1200 Katzkin Leather
$ 80 Di-Noc CF(not used yet and won't use most of it on my Prius)
    -------------
    $1530

Future plans are probably an in dash Nav, and maybe a strut tower brace.

$5.95...Aftermarket mesh lumbar support (for the %^$#! el-cheapo seat)
...and at 3K (miles) that's it!
Except for about 6 tanks of gas.

Caveat: This is a company car, so I expect my lifetime operational costs to be about zip.squat---

To the best of my memory (and I've only had the car 6 months):

    $79.00 Rear Cargo Mat
    $190.00 Window Tint
    $165.00 Autodim Mirror w/Home Link
    $39.99 DRLs

    $114.00 Fog Lights
$85.00 Install of DRLs & Fog Lights
    $29.99 HIDs
$390.00 Leather seat covers (On order)
    $16.00 Center caps

Okay, I guess I better quit...

$39.99 heavy duty Goodyear rubber floor mats for winter in Michigan. Thinking seriously about fog lamps. Any suggestions?

Wow sorry for the late reply. Yes fog lamps are a common mod here. There are some good DIY threads around.

    Better late than never?

How much do "free" oil changes cost you using coupons?

I feel cheap. I haven't really spent anything after 7 months except:
    $110: 2 oil changes
    $20: 1 tire rotation
    $30: wax/cleaning stuff

    Total: $160

What about other operating costs; i.e. fuel, or fixed costs; i.e. license, insurance?

    Happy Motoring,

    Tom

They're free. :) The dealership was handing out free Oil Filter/Change coupons during an informational event I went to.

With whom were you able to get clear bra done for $350? That seems like a good price. What is the brand of the material? Does that include headlights?
