I thought the magnetic gray wasn't going to be available until later in the year - weren't people here saying it wouldn't be around until April 2006? You might want to check into that if you want the car in December... -bill
Yup -- Magnetic Gray was shown on Toyota's 2006 color chart as not being available until the April/May '06 time period. (See this thread for more details. So for that color, you'll be waiting somewhat longer than December.
A package #8? I thought Toyota reduced the number of packages starting with the 2005. For example, my '04 #9 is the same as an '05 #7. Am I wrong here?
#8's the highest package for an '06 - it has leather seats. that's a new option for '06, if i remember correctly. so then '06 has more packages than '05, i guess... -bill
** Thanks for pointing out the delivery date on Magnetic Grey. I re-checked my "SF Region Pre-Order Form" that I filled out at the dealer, there was no mention of any date restriction. But at any rate, I left the 2nd and 3rd choice colors open--with only preference being that the interior is grey leather. I am still hoping somehow that they produce the magnetic grey earlier--longshot, maybe. But just as long as it's not black, red or silver, I am OK with any color. Happy Tuesday. [tag]**
Very cool that you ordered your Magnetic Grey Pri. I was under the impression that color was not going to come out until May, 2006 though. How did they treat you at the dealer? I want to place an order for an 06 B. Red #8! olcorral
Hi. After someone pointed out to me that the Magnetic Grey will not be available till April, I decided to leave the exterior color open with only must have interior color as grey. The internet/fleet manager was very nice and did not ask for deposit at all. He has a pretty good reputation and was highly recommended by people at my work place. I actually got connected with this dealer via our company's employee discount program. Good luck on your order. I think I might end up with red, white or black. It just adds to the surpirse--kind of like having a baby and not knowing the gender .
Same story with the dealer we went to.. since there are no "official" colors for US that have been announced or release dates of the colors you can request magnetic silver reddish blue if you really want.. doesnt mean ur gonna get it. And the dealers dont care anyway, until the colors are officially announced.. then expect a call!

I have not had a white car so the look is new to me. White, I think, makes the car look a lot bigger/wider than it is. I'm still trying to discover a few things about the car-- but I it's one great gadget geek mobile. Tested my Ipod Video and Nano--and will be installing Harman Kardon's Drive + Play this weekend.
