Have anyone change the regular headlamps to LED? I'm thinking of doing mine but before I do, I want to make sure is it easy as putting on xenon lights? On my previous car I had xenon lights and it was easy to install. Also, if you have already install LED headlights (except original pkg 5) can you post some pictures of your lights and let me know where you got them? Thanks
You are not changing the bulb I would think you would need to go to toyota and ask for LED headlights and pay a ton
Do you mean switching out the headlight bulb for a led ones? like this: (not too sure what you mean) As far as the Prius V lights go....you cannot simply buy and install them. They are self leveling and require a comp. to control them I am pretty sure. And it would be extremely expensive
I'm trying to find out how this person did it. Looks really cool and want to get this LED set up. PriusChat Forums - drunkin master's Album: Prius now and then - Picture
Note these are not LED headlights, they are LED accents. Big difference. I don't think aftermarket systems exist yet to replace headlights, the thermal, electrical, and optical challenges are substantial! I recommend a good HID kit, much brighter than any LED system you are likely to end up with. Your only option if you simply must have them is to buy the OEM LED headlight units from Toyota along with their power supplies and wiring harnesses. It's going to cost a LOT though!
FYI, In Japan, Modellista offers "LED head lamp kit" Modellista LED head lamp kit" It costs 236,250yen (US$2813) plus 2.5 hours labor. Please note that it is for RHD Prius. Ken@Japan
