    Hello Folks,

I'm a brand new, first time Prius owner and got a great lease deal on a brand new 2010 Prius III. I did not have a trade in, did not put a penny out of my pocket down for anything (no doc fees, tax, registration, inspection sticker, cap cost reduction, etc.) and drove off of the lot with a sweet looking Blizzard Pearl for only $266 a month! (A 36 month lease).

I'm too lazy to go fetch the paperwork, but I believe this deal was based upon a price of $900 below dealer invoice...somewhere around $22,000. I''m loving life right now, since my prior lease payment was $351 on a Honda Element....and I cut my gasoline expenses in half!

I'm a second time Prius owner. Yesterday I purchased a 2010 Prius IV (Silver) with options: Carpet Mats and Trunk Mat, Nano Window Tint, Rear Bumper Protector, and a dealer installed aftermarket rear view mirror with camera, homelink and compass. Total msrp on all the options = 1789.00

My price for the Prius IV including the options was 25,060.00 plus 699 dealer fee, taxes and title tranfer. Additionally, the dealer threw in a free life time warranty on the power train through Auto Nation; and free maintenance on the vehicle for the first 24 months.

As for my trade-in, I was given 9500 (a fair trade-in value, imo) for my 2006 Prius III with 55k miles. Overall I feel it was a good deal given the price I paid on the Prius IV and all the extras.

Hello from Surprise, Arizona. My names Bret. I owned an 03 Prius many years ago. Rented a Prius last week to go to the LA autoshow, and really liked it. I am on the waiting list for an IQ if they ever make it here to the U.S., but am getting tired of waiting.

The prices on the Prius keep dropping, which is making it more tempting. Do you think this is a good deal?

    package II
    MSRP $23,760.00
    Rebate $1,000.00
    Discount $2,872.00
    Total $19,888.00

Sounds like a great deal. Does that 19,888 include all the dealer fees?

Looking to buy a Prius 2, 3 or 4 (depending on which I get the best offer for) in SoCal within the next 2 month and have 2 questions

    1) When should I loko to buy? Are prices falling and should I wait until January or look for Christmas deals

    2) Here the best quote I got so far Prius 3 with Prem Accessory Pkge for $21566 + TTL. Is this a got offer?

Thank you for helping a Prius newbie out

I have heard (but can't really confirm) that incentives are currently at $1500 cash back to dealers. I have also heard people say just before Christmas is a good time because dealerships are dead due to people focusing on spending money elsewhere. I have personally had good luck purchasing on the last day of the month. So, December may be a good month to buy, especially if you wait till right before Christmas or the last day of the month.

Being as you are in SoCal, the price you were quoted sounds pretty reasonable. You may be able to squeeze a little more if you wait and the dealer is hurting for sales...

    Thanks for the insight.

Same dealer also offered me a Prius 2 for $20,531 + TTL which sees to be higher than the best prices I have seen on the board. Are prices in SoCal for Prius in general higher? Is there a chance I can get it to $19500 like some other users in other states?

New guy here and I'll chime in more details on my car etc in newbieland but I purchased my car this past Thursday Dec. 2 2010.

Car is series IV Blizzard Pearl with Misty Gray leather and Solar Roof pkg. and 5 mats. 7/10 build date. I would have liked the option to get a V with Solar even at the expense of a mpg or two. Sunroof was a must so the IV was my decision.

List was $32,060 including $760 delivery.

Purchase price was $26,901.59 inclusive of Toyota cash back of $1500. Tax, tags and dealer processing fee of $389 was on top of that.

    My 'out-the-door' price was $28235.25.

I am very happy with that deal, and delighted with the car. Dealer was Springfield Toyota in Springfield, VA just south of DC. I priced the car through USAA but these people beat USAA by $100+. I gave a local dealer a shot at my business but they were $950 away. Springfield Toyota great to deal with. Gave me a straight up price first time around. I didn't want any add ons, paint protector etc etc and they didn't push me. They gathered I was price driven. Offered an extended warranty for $1750 which I kindly refused.

Love the car...I had rented one last weekend to confirm I wanted the car. I played around with a ScanGauge II in the rental and first thing I did to my new car was use xGauge to change reverse beep to single, and kill the seat belt beeps. 58 mpg on my 80 mile return trip to Richmond

    All is good!

One month ago a dealer offered a basic Blizzard Pearl II for $21500. Same dealer called today and is still trying to flog the same car. My target is $20K... for a July 2010 build date.

Another dealer's pushing a Blizzard Pearl III for about that price... but it has a November 2009 build date. Methinks stale bread gets moldy.

    I see cars.com currently shows over 18,000 2010s, and 18 2011s... something's got to give! :target:

SoCal is considerably higher! I helped a member purchase a IV w/Solar this past Aug and he saved a couple thousand, even after travel expenses and gas to drive back to CA from GA. For comparison, I paid $22,088 in July for a Blizzard White III w/Nav and full Floor Mat Package.

Just picked up our silver Prius II this afternoon from Fred Anderson Toyota, Raleigh, NC.
    Items on the window sticker-
    Base price 22,800
    Destination 785
    Rear Bumper Protector 99
    Carpet and Trunk Mat 399
    Window Tint 399
    Total 24,482
Added dealer installed Katzkin full leather interior (cost around 1000)

We paid 21,216.89 for all the above plus TTL (3% NC tax, 74 for tag, 499 for dealer fee, some other smaller fees). Total out of door price is 22,500.
I did most the bargaining through emails and settled on the price this past Monday. Drove the car back in the first snow this afternoon.

Just purchased Prius III yesterday for $22750 includes:
Leather Seats (not standard -- Toyota Option)
    Blizzard Pearl (special paint)
    Floor mats
    Rear Bumper Protector
    Full Tank of Gas
Toyoguard Plus Protection (Roadside assitance, etc)

It is hard to find Prius III with leather since it is not standard, so I went with the best internet-priced one, then haggled once I got to the dealership. I did not trade-in and did not take the 0% financing.

My total OTD is $25000 even (including $599 dealer fee, 7% taxes etc).

I am pretty happy with the purchase. This forum has helped me a lot and I want to thank everyone.

Just curious, did you purchase from Team Toyota in Lithia Springs? That's where I purchased my Blizzard Pearl III, and the only other Blizzard pearl II had leather. It was a tough decision (I'm adding leather to mine), but I decided to go with the Nav over the leather at the time of purchase...

Yes. Despite their low review on google, it was the nicest and polite Toyota dealership I had to deal with. The worst was Stone Mountain. Extremely rude sales people on the floor.

How much is leather addition ? Just curious...
Do you do it through Toyota?

In their defense, they do have a new General Manager, very nice, genuine individual. I think it made a huge difference in the attitude of the whole dealership. We shopped there back in 08 when we were looking at the RAV-4 and CR-V, they weren't as pleasant then... I'm sure the Google reviews are from previous management. Who was your sales person? I worked with Jason Young, he was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with.

It's funny that Stone Mountain Toyota was so rude, the silly commercials they have make you think the guy will treat you like he's your best friend! I guess that's just a ploy to get you in the dealership, and then they unleash the vultures!

I'm adding the Clazzio Leather Seat Covers in an Ivory with Black Stiching, I think it will look nice with the two tone black and bisque interior. I got them through Sparks Toyota in Myrtle Beach, NC for $449 w/free shipping. They probably won't arrive for another 7-8 weeks because they are considered custom due to the two different colors. I thought it was an excellent price being as it includes the front and rear seats, head rests and arm rests.

What are your thoughts on this-
Prius II - Base price 22,800
Add ons blue tooth, carpets, remote starter
OTD price quoted 21 600( includes TTL)
I was offered this. I talked to 2 other dealors and they said that there is no way this particular dealor can do this. I had to do a deposit for S 500 and I was told that it was refundable totally even if I did not go thro with the deal. Any adv? Thanks

Depends on how much the IL tax and fees were, but it sounds like a good deal.
