Goodyear Integrity Mileage

Replaced just at 30k. Terrible handling,, very subject to hydro-planing,, especially as they were beginning to wear. Wore too fast on the shoulders,, but 30K wear bands were visable.

Replace with Nokian wr 3gs couldn't be happier. Much better over all tread with no mileage hit at all,,, ~52 before,, 52 after. Even with the more aggressive tread they seem quieter as well.

I've wanted to know how the new Potenza RE 960AS Pole Position tires are on a Prius, especially with regards to rolling resistance and fuel efficiency. Can you share a review after you've driven these a few thousand miles?

So, what did the RE960 tires do to your fuel economy vs. the Integritys?

Also, have you tried the RE960s in the snow?

 

Did you see the Consumer Reports Tire test? It doesn't list the RE 960AS but it does report on a mixture of all season and snow tires. Many people are trying out the Hankook H727 due to the report and pricing. It might help you choose a tire with regards to rolling resistance and still being able to handle some snow.

 

I've mentioned it before, but after paying top dollar (even considering the $70 rebate) for my Primacy MXV4s and comparing them to the OEM Integrity I kinda wish I'd gotten the Hankook Optimo H727. Low price, good tread wear rating, great warranty (4/100,000) and the positive CR review all in it's favor.

Replaced my 55,000K Goodyear Integrity with Michelin MXV Primacy. I'm happy with the Primacy, so far, but as posted above, the Hankook Optimo H727 looks good too. 100,000 mile warranty is certainly impressive. Just didn't know much about this company, and I've always been happy with Michelins. We are just now replacing OEM Michelin tires on our '04 pick-up at 88,000 miles. Guess those 5,000 rotations paid off there!

 

Yes, I looked at that test report. It seems that, comparing the Hankook H727 with the Michelin MXV4:
Hankook wins on noise and snow traction.
Michelin wins on handling and rolling resistance.
All of those differences were of one ratings scale unit in either direction, so there's no clear winner.

My local tire center was urging me to consider the RE960, even though they're less expensive than the MXV4, which they also sell, so I'm trying to get some real-world info.

 

My OEM Intregrity tires were pretty much shot at about 24K; one was down to the wear out marks. Goodyear came thru with a wear-out warranty, and I replaced them with GY Assurance FuelMax at a 45% savings. I'm sure there are better tires out there, but the price was right. I don't see how some have reported getting over 60K in their Intregreties, they must not turn corners.

 

Must have been your alignment or the pressure levels you used. Mine last close to 60K and I corner very hard whenever possible.

 

39,200, rotated regularly with factory pressure. I drive a bit on the aggressive side, tires had worn more on sidewalls which seems typical but tread was near wear bars accross entire tire..

 

I had wear bars at 46,000 so I replaced them with Goodyear Viva Authority Fuel Max tires from Walmart. So far I am up about 3 MPG.

 

My tires were still good when I disposed of the car. Nominal tp was 45psi.

 

2007 Prius with 60,500 - original tires. I'm going to be replacing them this week only because they are starting to "sound" a little more whiny when I'm driving on the Interstate. (Yes - they need to be replaced soon as well - just speeding it up a bit). I've rotated them approx every 10k or so and kept them filled to 42-44 psi to get better gas mileage (55-56 mpg). I'm probably an easy driver on the tires which is why they lasted so long. (But if you ask DH he'll say not when I go over a pothole).

Are you replacing them with Good Year Integrity tires. I have been thinking of going with Assurance Fuel Max next. What do you all think out there? H

 

No - I think I would like to go with the Michelin Energy Saver A/S but have to find a place near us to get them. They are not in stock anywhere so it will be time & price.

Yes they are good but more expensive. Not sure they are worth the extra bucks! H

 

I just bought 4 Energy Savers at Costo, these tires are great. I run 40 PSI and does the car ever roll now!
My other choice was Goodyear Fuel Max.
Michelin had a sale, it was good timng these tires handle much better than OEM's ever did!!!

In the UK manual it says to rotate tyres, move fronts to rear on same side move rears to front crossing right to left and left to right.

 

In my warm dry climate I'm happy with Assurance Fuel Max tires, but there is test data (Tire Rack, I think?) showing that they are not nearly the best for driving on snow or ice.

 

I got 52k out of stock integrities on the front, changed to ecopia
but put the rear integrity’s on my fathers VW diesel, got another 10,000 miles then sold the car
