Worlds newest Prius owner!!!!!

Last night we picked up our new 2010 Prius III with Solar option.

The dealer came through for us getting us the exact level and color combo we wanted. Initially, the only one in Florida was 150 miles away. It was going to have to be driven across the state unless I wanted to pay for it to be flat bedded. It was a very good deal and no one in the state could touch it so I decided to move forward with the deal. Three days ago I got word from the dealer that they found another one at port and it was going to be trucked in with their normal shipment of cars....Wahooo!:cheer2:

Last night I arrive at dealer and immediately identify our car on the side of the dealership and I begin to inspect it with a fine tooth comb(where did that figure of speech come from anyway?). Not only is the car flawless, I immediately notice this car has the Goodyear tires which I was hoping it would as I think they are the best of the three tire models applied by Toyota. Next I open the driver door to see the build plate in the jam and see this car was built in Aug 2010!!!!!! How the heck did they build it, ship it halfway around the world and get it to me in a month???????? Impressive!!!!!! A fresh Prius with 3 miles! How cool is that?!?!?!eace:

After a thorough inspection(car appears flawless), a quick test drive we returned to dealer. it took about an hour to close on it then we were headed home with our new car.....Our first Hybrid and first new Toyota.

I drove it out of the city and half way home before I pulled over to allow my 16 year old son(with learners permit) to finish the drive to the house. I'll never forget when my dad and I brought home our 1978 Ford Country squire station wagon back when I was a boy. To this day I can still remember what the interior of that car smelt like(over 30 years). I hope Cody always remembers the day he drove home our new Prius.

I've been driving new Hyundais for 20 years and while they have improved quality exponentially over the years, the quality of the Toyota Prius is spectacular and hard to beat!

Thanks to everyone on this forum for offering advice, incite and friendly communication. I look forward to many years of sharing the Prius experience with you peeps.

VS, Your good! yep Stadium Toyota. I didnt get the Game from them....They gave me one price...Their best and we were done.....I left after they gave their price and spent a week trying to beat it and NO ONE even came close.

Paul, Special thanks to you my friend. I have no doubt without your recommendations regarding Truecar.com and using Carmax as a negotiating tool that I would have paid more....possibly ALOT more. I promise the next trip through Atlanta I will thank you by buying you a beer!!!! Darn I wish you were my neighbor!!! ;-)
