Anybody seen anything for our 2010s? The stock grills allow way too much debri/bugs into the radiator. I guess I could just make my own if I really needed to.
That's a good idea I thought i seen some billet grills at the local Pepboys. Looked like they where DIY installs.
I've been thinking of making it for my car, too. It should be easy enough. I don't like high speed rock destroying my radiator. I'm thinking of buying gutter guard, cut and paint black. If it looks good, it will post pic 6 In. x 3 Ft. Mill Hinged Gutter Guard - 122-225 at The Home Depot
I wouldn't use this stuff. It looks like the open slots would allow greater than 50% through. Plus if you paint it black, it will get chipped up and look terrible. Check Ebay out for some official black mesh.
Better late than never, I finally did this mod. I do this for functional purpose, not for look, so I'm happy with the results.
Of course I like it very much because I did it myself. Actually you cannot really see anything standing up, and that's how I like it, functional and hidden. I cut it to size, then lower it through the hole from the hood's latch (took it out for easier access). Then use black zip ties to attach it. If you look real close, you can see the zip ties.
Can easily buy this wire mesh here, Belleville Wire Cloth Co., Inc - Woven Wire Mesh | Wire Cloth | Stainless Steel Wire Mesh | Wire Cloth Strainer And do this project yourself! The mesh is pretty easy to fasten to the front/lower part of the car and I think you will get this stuff for more cheaper. Just an option I thought I would throw it out to you guys. Those pictures do look great though, job well done.
