Warranty Service-bought from one dealer taking it to another

    HAs anyone had a problem with after buying a Prius from one dealer taking it to another dealership for the 5000 mile free services???

    When I had read your title, I knew the answer. Your warranty is from Toyota, not any one dealer and every dealer must honor that warranty.

    Now that I read the body of your question, however it has nothing to do with the warranty, it is about some free service, offered either by Toyota or by your dealer. When you read the paperwork for redeeming the service, is it a Toyota document, or a dealer document?

    Jim, it is a Toyota document addressed to the original dealer for my 5000 mile service.:rolleyes:

    It sounds as though it is a Toyota perk given out by TMS to stimulate sales all over. It probably works at any dealership, but why don't you just call the dealer you want to go to and ask? Probably a lot easier than reading all of our guesses.

    I bought my 2010 Prius IV from a dealer in Sarasota, FL (on the internet) and brought it to a West Palm Beach area dealer for the 5000 mi check (basically, tire rotation and check fluid levels), and the visit was free, as per the Toyota coupon.
