Hello I have a Gen III Prius with 13,000 miles. It is less than a year old and I just got the Hybrid Malfunction indicator...I'm a bit upset about this and am wondering what it means. I'm not going to be able to take it into the dealership until next week, and was hoping that someone on here had some information about the indicator. It's a blurry shot but it is an exclamation mark with wavy lines below it. Thanks for your help.
Check your tire pressure. That looks like a tire pressure warning light... Don't you read the manual?
Wow... condescending attitude. Do you ever speak to anyone in face to face like that? No reason to be rude just because you can hide behind anonymity. I stated it was a Hybrid Malfunction Indicator because I looked it up in the manual and that is what the symbol was titled.
Condescending attitude? Are you serious? He wasn't rude. Why don't you take a picture of what you see in the manual, because last time I checked that's the TPMS warning light indicator. Not the Hybrid System Malfunction indicator. If you had an issue with the Hybrid System, it would be much more noticeable than that: That is in your manual by the way. Don't get all snappy because you're the one who can't take the time to thoroughly go over the manual and look up the correct information. Especially when you ask for help.
Q: Hey, what's the sound? A: A bell. Q: For what? A: Somebody just got schooled. Cooler fall temperatures bring lower air pressures.
I just checked the manual, too. There is nothing called a "Hybrid Malfunction" indicator. Must be the TPMS.
