I have a 2006 Prius and my low fuel signal comes on with around 4 gallons left in an 11.9 gallon tank, that seems like a lot of gas left to get a low signal. I was wondering when the light comes on in other Prius cars? Thank you for your assistance.
don't count on having 4 gallons left. In cold weather, your gas tank capacity drops by about 2 gallons due to stiffening of the bladder in the gas tank. JeffD
When the last tick on the gas gauge starts blinking, I can get about 8 gallons into my 2004... same as yours... I'm not sure if it gives any other warnings as it gets lower.
Thanks for the help guys, I have only had my Prius for a month and thought something might be wrong, but it sounds like it is normal to have it come on at that time. Can anyone give any input as to where the sensor is located and how it works?
