Yes. Probably. Connect one end to the other. Use a "straight through" cat5 patch cable. Don't use a crossover cable.
Yes that was my understanding when I bought mine a year ago, I do not think that the dasiy chain cable was specified tho. You may want to to Ohm out the Scangauge's cable and with the following references to see that the power pair and the CAN pair get accross the the appropriate pins on the 2nd unit with whatever cable you chose or make. You do not want to mess up the CAN pair. I'm prepping for a 2xSG setup. My comments are rather fuzzy because I don't have any real EE experience. By visual inspection, the ethernet cable that I have has the same left-to- right color sequence on both ends. I have hooked everything up, and the two SGs work fine. FWIW, my two SGs are different series; one a x.15, the other x.16 -- IIRC The x.15 comes off the OBD plug and the x.16 comes off that.
