Hi all, My wife and I just picked up an 08 package 6 up here in New England to handle our 142 mile round-trip commute. The car payment is much less than the $400 a month we were putting into our Santa Fe for gas so it's already paying for itself As an added bonus it does already have a Curt receiver hitch. In the week we've had it we've been averaging 46.5 mpg for our commute so I'm a happy guy. I've got the homelink and the bluetooth setup easily enough but I am having trouble with voice activation on the vehicle. It seems the only thing I can get it do do is dial my phone. Shouldn't I be able to get it to do more?

Congrats and welcome to PriusChat! Well if you don't have the navigation system, it only controls the phone. Voice commands for radio and climate control are part of the nav package IIRC.
Hello. Also the new owner of a used 08 with NAV. It does have some voice issues but it does do some of the commands. However it won't set some temps no matter how distinctly you say it. 76 sets 85. My son blurted out something and it showed nearby govt buildings!
Still trying to figure out the NAV but at least the bluetooth works! And, I just realized over the weekend that I'm missing the 3 head rests in the rear seat. I guess they were taken out for visibility and never replaced....
