Ok...I did it, I ordered a 2005 Prius. Now, for the long wait. Does anyone here know if a 2005 owners manual is availbale online? I'd liek to read as much as I can about my soon (?) to be new car. thanks
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Yarok\";p=\"51379)</div> That's incorrect. They can be purchased through the parts department at a Toyota Dealership, from some online Toyota Product sites. Also, it's downloadable from the Toyota Technical Information Service (TIS) site for a $10 1 day subscription.
Or you cold download the 2004 PDF files which are online in a few places. I have a copy which I got from a yahoo group.

Go for it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Canuck\";p=\"51458)</div> Not EXACTLY. The dealers are independant businesses. THEY would have to buy it directly from Toyota. So I guess Evan's point was that you don't have to contact Toyota corporate to get one.
The question comes up a lot, I think that's one reason for the type of answers you received. No offense meant, I'm sure.
Some of us getting 05's now are finding the manuals on back-order from the dealer (as I posted elsewhere). Checked with them today, two weeks later, still no manuals. So for the 05 anyway, its still a reasonable question. Thankfully I owned a Classic previously so there were only a couple differences to get over. --TSK
