Kind of slow, but then again many parts of this forum are dead. *Hint hint GEN II Modifications** AHEM....
i always find it slow, but, being tech challenged, i wouldn't know if it's my laptop, wifi, modem, cable, website, whatever!
The site's ping times are crazy slow and vary wildly. Traceroute shows they use liquidweb hosting. If the site is on a virtualized server, they are probably running Virtuozzo software. This software is known for not guarenteeing resources. It can be used to put a bunch of websites on one computer. But if one website has lots of traffic, it can eat up a bunch of the shared system resources. Then the other sites on the machine get starved until that traffic goes out. This seems like what is happening. My guess is PriusChat is hosted on a shared box with another big name website. That other website and this site have increased in traffic and are competing for limited resources. The host should move these sites onto different boxes and put some smaller less traffic'd sites along site.
Priuschat was so slow today that I had to stop using it. That was at about 3:00 p.m. EDT. It's better now, but still not exactly quick. Tom
This is and always has been the SLOWEST site I ever visit since starting to browse it over a year ago. It really is pathetically slow so much so that it does keep me away and away from enjoying it. Kind of maddening watching page draws like I am on dial up. I have a very fast connection - all others load in the blink of an eye, but NEVER priuschat pages.
I see the slow load times (all browser types) occasionally but not lately. It can be helpful to check the Network Overview /// Internet Traffic Report to see if an upstream router is having trouble.
