Well. fastly approching 45,000 miles on my 2010 V with ATP. use the LKA and DRCC everyday on my 88 mile each way commute. Been noticing that over the last several months, that the DRCC has been.. well.. less effective. Several points I have notices. 1. In rain, it used to be OK. would detect the car in front of me with no problem. Now.. even the slightest rain, it fluxuates between seeing the car and not seeing the car. It is quite anoying, and takes alot of fuel. 2. In dry weather, it sees the car OK.. but seems not to keep its distance as close as it did previously. I always use the closest setting, and it is definitly noticably farther away. The car has never been in any accident. Any thoughts as to what the issue could be? Scott
I too use the closest setting when using the DRCC and have found I am still fairly well back. To date, my distance seems to be consistent. Full disclosure: I've only had the car for a week and about 100 miles. Please let us know what the dealer says.
The "closest setting" is still several times the length that people tend to travel behind another car at freeway speed once it's at equilibrium. Could you be confusing it with the several times when a car cuts in front of you and it still maintains the same speed for a while until it's at equilibrium? It doesn't fall back immediately to maintain the set distance if a car cuts in front of you but does it slowly over time.
Maybe the sensors are dirty? The radar for the cruise control is behind the front emblem. Maybe cleaning this might help?
Thanks for the response everyone. I was thinking dirty as well.. But, I don't know if I am qualified to clean. On my next trip to the dealer, I will ask for cleaning. Scott
Nice issue to have. How is the Lane Keep Assist working? In Wind? Will the Roof power the heater in the winter? So car is warm?
The US Advanced Technology Package does not include solar/sun roof. The Solar Roof Package is only available in IV and III. It only powers the vents. It will not power the heater.
