Is it possible for you to remove the cabin fan from behind the glove box without going to the dealer?? My fan doesn't run unless we spray WD40 on it and start it spinning ourselves. We believe all we need to do is get some new lubricant on the fan and it should work fine, but in order to do that properly we should remove the fan assembly first. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's very easy and there are instructions in your owner's manual. It's a 5 minute job...

Ok got the blower moter assembly out but cannot remove the squirrel cage. It appears to be stuck. We removed the metal clip holding in on but the cage will not slip off of the central post, they seem to be attached to each other. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

The repair manual exploded parts diagram does not show that the squirrel cage can be removed from the blower w/ fan motor subassembly. The cage may have an interference fit with the motor shaft.

I would get a replacement from a salvage dealer, I think a replacement is the answer here.

on ebay for example around $36 bucks with shipping.

Another good salvage source is autobeyours. Just e-mail and ask whether they have it in stock. Good luck! :)
