I can relate. on home football games I stay off the road because Aggies don't know how to drive. the roads are clogged, especially University Drive rated as one of the top 50 most congested in the state. about 2.5 miles and takes 25 minutes to drive.

Yes, in traffic jams there aren't really any viable options, other than to try and reduce any secondary load on the batteries like air conditioning, radio, and headlights (in the daytime). Other than that, we just have to take our medicine, but knowing that every car around us is faring far worse.

9.9 miles includes much more than the steep portion of the hill.

I went through again last week. Resetting a trip meter as the road started to turn up, it read 5.4 miles and 17.2 MPG at the scenic turnout just below the weigh station. Beyond that, the gentler slope caused the reading to rise rapidly.

ive notice the rain really decreases my mpg..in this vacation im on,,drove from maine out to nova scotia in driving rain..many long steep grades..mpg went from 53 to 45 fairly quickly.. ive noted previously on relative flat trips in rain the mpg is decreased.
    om tires are the yokos.

Ya they are trying to. So far has been shot down. But I give it another year and they will get their way eventually. Don't mind giving themselves a raise mid-term, but who cares about the person who has to pay for their raise via tolls that shouldn't be there. Oh well, another topic another board. Welcome to Pennsylvania.
