Ok, so I am not a newbie when it comes to hybrids, my family owns a 2003 Honda Hybrid, and now this Prius. I traded my 2008 Ford Mustang in for this car, I received a great APR and monthly payments. I also bought the extended warranty (electric car....think about it). Anyways I have been driving this car now for almost two weeks and all I can say is awesome. If you haven't experienced this 2010 Prius your missing out, OK I went from a man car to a....well you know car, but guess what? I am completely satisfied with this car, plus it has a look to it that make people look all the time.

It was a hard bargain, but in the end it was worth it.

Welcome to a fellow NC'er. Congrats on your new car. I can imagine that it was tough getting rid of the Mustang.

Guess what? If you have to talk about it...then it's making you nervous at some level.

Plus you went from a "Man Car" to a "Well you Know"?

    Grow up...Mustangs don't make you a man..and Prius is just a machine.

Glad you are enjoying your new car though.

Why does there seem to be so many new Prius Owners that trade in Mustangs? What is this Mustang to Prius connection that seems to exist?

Sport car -> hybrid. Is this a recovery stage from a middle life crisis? :)

May as well chime in, I'm approaching the one week mark in my new 2010 Prius-IV. Sunday at 6:30pm will mark 1 week.

I traded a 2003 Sienna for it, so we're smaller, more nimble, and boy do we sip gas in comparison! After topping up after about 80 miles (I don't know where the dealership says full is, but I know where _I_ say full is), I've driven roughly 150 miles and the estimate says I've still got over 400 miles before I need to fill. Loving every minute of it.

    Cheers!
