Braking on slippery surface

    the 20mph limit is applicable to 05s, yes. It's just to help you gain maximum regen. Of course, if you're skilled enough with the brake pedal and have a very good feel of it, then you can maximise regen with your foot and need not use B.

    it doesn't "increase" regen so to speak but it just applies the maximum regen allowed by the electric motor. Of course if you're applying moderate brake pressure and are close to the limit, then shifting to B won't make a difference. However, if you're lightly pressing it and you shift to B below 20mph, you'll feel it brake harder.

    If you are correct about regen in B mode, does this mean that you could use it to continue to regen as if you were braking at less than 7 mph, when the mechanical brakes usually take over?

    Nope. If you watch the screen, it'll usually have the battery powering the wheel in that speed range.
