Hello everybody, This is my first post on the site. I just got my 2010 prius III w/nav four days ago...each time I enter in a contact into the nav system, it shuts down...I don't know if this is normal. It's my first prius and I am loving it so far!!! I also noticed some "swirling" happening on the surface, I haven't even had the chance to wash it yet...is there something I should do? I would really appreciate some feedback, and any general info I should know about new prius ownership! I have the winter grey with light grey interior. Thank you!! D
The contact shutdown is definitely NOT normal. The swirl is probably from careless delivery prep - they swirled (finely scratched) your finish with a dirty cloth or brush. Insist they re-wash and finish with a swirl remover. Or better yet, insist they send it to a detailing shop to correct their screw-up - or you'll report it to Toyota. You have a lot more leverage the first few weeks, until the customer sat survey is requested from you. And welcome to the forum!
Thank you so much Jayvee! I really appreciate all your help! I am heading to the dealer tomorrow morning and I will insist that they do something about the finish. They said the nav def needs to be looked at...hopefully it will all get resolved. I'm also getting the windows tinted tomorrow! I can't wait, I am so enjoying the car! Thanks again!
I finally got it all sorted out! They installed an entire new nav system. The contact shutdown is totally fixed! I'm still totally loving it. My tint job was terrible, and I think I may need to get it re-done. People are so careless. Oh well, at least the navi is perfect! Ha
