hi there, i haave been using a huawei e5830 incar as a wifi hotspot... my problem is that it does not seem to charge when i connect it to the lighter... anyone has similar experience?
it seems to have not enough current for the modem.... as it does look like there is power going in but does not charge the modem... yes the car is on...
It uses a standard USB port right? Then it takes 5v, up to 1amp probably... the cigarette lighter is giving out 12v @ 10 amps so check your charger and make sure it has the right amperage output. Have you tried plugging it into the usb port (assuming your prius has one)?
