Has anyone tried Hydroedge in a 205/65 15? I would be interested in your experiences. I got a set on my 2008 and they are running well in the first 300 miles or so with no rubbing or significant drop in mpg yet (was at 48~52 - now at 46~50) with 40/38 psi. I'm hoping that the larger tire will yield more (tire) mileage than the smaller oem size (had Pirelli P4 Four Seasons 185/65/15 for 70K - a great value and better than Integrity oems which I got 35K on). What I have noticed so far: While they look bigger and the car seems to sit higher; the tires seem to have enough space to not cause issues (tires do not rub even with 4 large adults in car on bouncy road test) Coasting is not as 'free wheeling' as it was before, I guess that's from the wider track and better grip on these new tires Display speed is more in line with my Garmin now too - it's less than 1 mph at about 60 mph Looking for: Better tire life Better Snow and Rain performance Better Value overall in the long run I'll post some pictures a bit later to show how they look on the car..
Pics attached.... I know these are still new - but today's rain was meaningless to these tires - like no rain on the road at all. Awesome tires and handling:thumb:
Glad to hear you are so pleased with the wet-weather performance. In general, if you wish to maximize snow traction performance, narrower tires are better since they can dig in.
